Fluid Boundaries
A film by Vladimir Todorovic, Mun Jeonghyun, and Daniel Rudi Haryanto.
The three directors of Fluid Boundaries explore how migration and marginalization is experienced through stories of people who cross borders. They showcase testimonies of people from all sorts of backgrounds who come to Singapore to find work, as well as refugees and families who migrated within South-East Asia. The film portrays how the rigidity of borders are wearing away and serves as a point of departure to discuss how ICTs are likewise changing how migrants find their way within new and old places.
After the film, we’ll host a panel discussion and a small reception. The panel will explore how ICTs are changing how migrants find their way within new and old places and will be formed by:
- Vladimir Todorovic, Film Director
- Dr. Arul Chib, ICTD2015 Chair and SiRC Director
- Claire Cravero, University of Malaya
- Jaye Nias, Bowie State University
- Mr Alex Au, Transient Workers Count Too (TWC2)
