Thinking about Market Information Systems: Bridging Theory and Practice - Workshop

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Market Information Systems (MIS) for farmers of the Global South are typically designed to deliver price, weather, and crop details using mobile phones. This session will re-examine the premise and design of MIS by bringing into conversation researchers and practitioners who study agricultural practices or deploy MIS in the Global South. Our objective is to explore how to better ground MIS in the social relations and practices of individual farming communities.
